What B2 means

You can understand the main ideas of complex text on concrete and abstract topics. You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular conversation with fluent speakers comfortable, and write clear, detailed text explaining a point of view.

How you get to this level

  • Through the placement test: if the tester places you at B2, you start here.

  • By completing B1 · Intermediate: once that level is confirmed as completed, you become eligible for B2 groups. About level B1

Moving up is never automatic. You choose and enrol in your next group yourself.

After this level

When the roadmap of B2 is complete and the final assessment is done, administration confirms the level. You are then eligible for C1 · Advanced groups. About level C1
